Hot Dog Day
On 12th December a fundraising took place at the Quay Primary School. Members of the Giggle and Natter parents group came up with the idea of preparing hot dogs to sell at the school to raise money for playground equipment.
Successful fundraiser
Wikinger account manager, Derrick Watson, supplied hot dogs and gave a helping hand preparing the hot dogs. The contact was established after the first time the school held a fundraiser last term. They called up Derrick Watson, using the helpline number they got off the hot dog jar to ask about freezing hot dogs. In addition to the advice Derrick offered to take part at the next fundraiser and bring along free Wikinger samples.
According to Sue Ridsdale, who helps run the Giggle and Natter group, the event was a great success.
“It was really lovely of Derrick from Wikinger to help us out with the hot dogs. The hot dogs went down very well; we called it the special hot dog Christmas treat”.
