The factory in Böklund was founded in 1934 by H. Christophersen. In the late 1930s Böklunder introduced the automatic production of sausages thereby preparing the way for a revolutionary development. Böklunder is the inventor of the sausage in a glass.

Always One Step Ahead
Böklunder played a significant role in the development of the Twist-Off-Lid. It was the first sausage producing company to introduce the seal strap for the safety of the consumers. Hereby the label is joined to the lid by a sticker .

Known and beloved all over the World
Last year Böklunder Plumrose GmbH & Co KG sent out more than ½ billion sausages to customers in Germany and the rest of the world. Every 60 seconds round 2,000 sausages are produced in Böklund, using state of the art production facilities.

Quality & Food Safety
Böklund invests millions in optimizing the techniques, technology and the flow of raw materials. Quality control is an important part of the production process at Böklund. Therefor the production is carefully monitored through a HACCP approach
